This second assignment is a self-portrait done in Photoshop. This could either be inspired by a photo or drawn on top of a photograph imported into the program. Regardless, the intent is for a non-photo-realistic portriat.
For this project I traced the lines of the portrait to create a silhouette. I then filled it in with a few different brushes to create a little bit of texture. I put the most detail on my face to move the eye to the center of the work. I used warm and cool tones to add depth. I liked the background in the original photo and decided to create a simplified version with some fill gradients. I also added some definition with sharper lines to ice cream and knitting as these were the items I chose to represent me. I like to make things whether it be art, food, or crafts.
