The purpose of this assignment was to demonstrate an understanding of radial design using variations of a single letter in a single font to create a design that is graphic and not representational of the letter itself whether or not it is distinguishable.
I used the layer copy and rotation function in Photoshop to create multiple rings of A’s. I then rotated these rings. I played with shading effects and opacity with each layer. I also created different size rings with three different sizes of the letter A. I was pretty disappointed with the pixelated quality of the end project. At some point I mistakenly must have resized the piece and then had to adjust it again in the end to fit requirements. I played around with rearranging layers to give the piece depth.
